I am an assistant professor in the department of Psychology at Old Dominion University. My research focuses on visual attention and cognition, including the study of basic and applied issues. I am particularly interested in answering three main research questions:
1. How does the visual system extract and represent information from complex and dynamic visual scenes? 2. How do mechanisms of attention constrain human performance in real-world tasks? 3. How do visual and attentional abilities change across the lifespan? I study these problems with behavioral techniques using a variety of analytic methodologies as well as simulators and eye trackers. |
